Fukushima Zona Radioactiva

Inmediatamente después del Gran Terremoto de Japón Oriental de marzo de 2011, el gobierno japonés estableció un área de evacuación alrededor de los reactores nucleares de la planta Fukushima Daiichi que resultaron dañados.

Tours Cesium es un estudio visual del desierto radioactivo que se encuentra en las cercanías de la planta nuclear Fukushima Daiichi, un año después del desastre.

Las imágenes mostradas se tomaron en distintas ubicaciones a entre 22 y 16 kilómetros de distancia de los reactores dañados. Chernobyl in Ukrainian Art began in earnest only decades after the disaster

I was invited to attend and speak at the Conference for a Nuclear Power Free World 2012, in Yokohama on January 14th and 15th.   I am not a scientist, nor a model activist, but what I could share was what I learned from the survivors* of Chernobyl.  On the 15th, I presented these impressions in the session, “Lessons from Chernobyl and Fukushima”.

Lessons from Chernobyl and Fukushima

On January 15th,  2012, I was invited to be a guest speaker at the Global Conference for a Nuclear Power Free World, in Yokohama, Japan.  I presented, my work from Chernobyl in the session, “Lessons from Chernobyl and Fukushima”.  You can see the recorded presentation here, under the Global Discussion Channel.  The event was hosted by Peace Boat Japan, and was the genesis of my work in Fukushima during February 2012.
